Jessica Mommens is a strategic leader, program developer, and expert in trauma-responsive systems with a deep commitment to equity and community impact. As the Director of Strategy & Programs at Urban Trauma, LLC, she has been instrumental in expanding the Urban Trauma framework since 2017, working alongside Dr. Maysa Akbar to develop training programs, lead key initiatives, and drive organizational growth.

Jessica specializes in designing and facilitating workshops on racial healing, trauma-informed care, and systems transformation, equipping professionals across mental health, education, and social services with the tools to foster meaningful change. With certifications in Urban Trauma, Strategic Management, and Leadership & Strategic Planning, she combines expertise in strategy with hands-on experience in program implementation to support individuals and organizations in building trauma-responsive practices.
