Engaging the Child with Autism

Travis Walls, LCSW
Child and Family Agency

11:00am Session

Clinicians may experience challenges when attempting to deliver EBP interventions to clients with Autism. This may be due, in part, to the unique neurological structure and cognitive processing capabilities associated with the diagnosis.

This presentation serves as an introduction to some of the unique ways of interacting the world that are frequently seen in children with Autism, as well as some methods that have been or could be used to better engage them in therapeutic practice.
